About the Role
Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Senior B1 Mechanical Technician for a contract position in Khamis Mushayt, Asir. This role is crucial for ensuring optimal service support for maintenance and flight line activities, aiming for excellent fleet availability while upholding the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspection, assembly, installation, repair, or replacement of aircraft components and systems.
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, or refurbishing of aircraft.
- Perform function checks of components.
- Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) on location as required.
- Support the MRO department as needed.
- Comply with all Aviation, Safety, Quality, and Export Control Regulations and Procedures.
- Adhere to all Airbus Helicopters Management Systems, Policies, and Regulations.
- Work collaboratively within a team to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the helicopter fleet in a customer environment.
- Undertake aircraft maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks, including troubleshooting, quality checks, and documentation completion in accordance with Company and Customer procedures.
- Perform daily preventive, corrective, servicing, and routine maintenance works necessary for aircraft release for flight.
- Ensure all scheduled and unscheduled activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while maintaining all safety requirements.
- Conduct operational implementation on the flight line, including daily servicing, refueling, and helicopter towing.
- Verify the condition and expiration dates of tools and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) before commencing any maintenance activity and ensure their correct use.
- Check components and parts for condition (damages, leaks, etc.) and ensure documentation applicability is correct before starting any maintenance activity.
- Determine and perform maintenance requirements for parts, clearances, tolerances, fuel and hydraulic leaks, and corrosion damage.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical publications.
- Determine repair procedures necessary to correct defective equipment.
- Resolve maintenance problems and achieve proper operating deficiency of components such as rotor heads, landing gear, rotor blades, and transmissions, including controls and rigging.
- Diagnose recurring malfunctions and recommend corrective actions by initiating material deficiency reports.
- Perform repair of components.
- Ensure all work performed is recorded on the appropriate paperwork and signed for on a progressive basis as required by the AHA Management System.
- Ensure the correct use and control of aircraft parts and materials.
- Verify that the aircraft status regarding scheduled tasks and deferred items is updated, and the aircraft condition is serviceable and in accordance with the applicable AHA Management System to perform the Release to Service of the aircraft.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Site Manager, ensuring all work is completed in a timely fashion and meets the delivery quality requirements of the AHA Management System.
- Evaluate the performance of assigned customer personnel as required.
- Conduct on-the-job training activities and train personnel on the use of maintenance manuals and safety directives, including FOD procedures.
- Supervise and train junior aircraft technicians.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Mandatory FAA or EASA Part-66 * licensed aircraft technician (ICAO licenses will also be considered).
- Mandatory Aircraft Maintenance Type Training Course Part 147.
- Practical working experience with the AS 532 Ale (H215M).
