Agent Purchasing

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking an Agent-Purchasing to join their team in Medina. This is a full-time position focused on managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring the accurate handling of supplies within the organization. The role involves maintaining meticulous records and supporting efficient purchasing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and associated costs.
• Maintain clear and organized records, ensuring all reports and invoices are properly filed and stored.
• Post invoices using designated computer programs.
• Conduct inventory audits to determine current stock levels and future needs.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify management of low stock levels.
• Verify and track received inventory, completing necessary reports and logs.
• Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure accuracy of counts.
• Receive, unload, and process deliveries, refusing damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
• Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee the return process.
• Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas.
• Monitor PAR levels for all food items to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Communicate professionally, prepare accurate written documents, and answer telephones appropriately.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical and Technical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Capability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Capacity to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred. The role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this position.

This full-time role is based in Medina and involves working within a dynamic environment where adherence to company policies and procedures, including safety and confidentiality, is paramount. The Agent-Purchasing will perform duties as requested by Supervisors, contributing to the overall efficiency of purchasing operations.
