About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Agent Purchasing to join their team in Makkah. This full-time role involves managing food stock, orders, and costs, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and processing invoices. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calculate figures for food stocks, orders, and associated costs.
  • Maintain clear and organized records, ensuring all reports and invoices are properly filed and saved.
  • Enter invoices accurately using computer programs.
  • Reject damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items upon delivery.
  • Complete request forms for stocks and provisions as needed.
  • Notify management or supervisors of low stock levels to prevent shortages.
  • Verify and track received stock, maintaining comprehensive reports and records.
  • Reconcile shipping invoices with receipt reports to ensure accurate counts.
  • Receive, unload, and process deliveries efficiently.
  • Resolve issues related to supplier deliveries and oversee the return process for unsatisfactory items.
  • Adhere to all food safety guidelines and handling policies and procedures for food-related areas.
  • Control PAR levels for all food products to ensure adequate inventory.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager.

Workplace Conduct and Safety

  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional.
  • Maintain the privacy of company proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Support co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
  • Contribute to team goals and objectives.
  • Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds (** kg) without assistance.
  • Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for the entire work shift.
  • Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including fine print.
  • Capacity to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
  • Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers or point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, crawling, and leaning.
  • Capability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to move over inclined, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
  • Related Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this position.
  • License or Certification: None specified.

Additional Duties

The Agent Purchasing will also perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
