Attendant Housekeeping

About the Role: Housekeeping Attendant

Marriott International is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant for a full-time position in Medina. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of guest satisfaction and adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Prepare and transport housekeeping carts with necessary supplies to assigned areas.
• Enter guest rooms following established procedures to ensure vacancy and guest privacy.
• Replace guest amenities and supplies, and change dirty linens and terry with clean items.
• Make beds, fold terry, and clean bathrooms thoroughly.
• Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items from rooms.
• Verify that all in-room appliances are present and in working order.
• Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances, and perform dusting, polishing, and mark removal from surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties in guest rooms and hallways.

Safety and Security Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Properly store flammable materials according to guidelines.

Guest Service and Professionalism

• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Support the team to achieve common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
