Engineering Technician HVAC

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking an Engineering Technician - HVAC to join their team in Medina. This full-time position involves maintaining and repairing HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment, ensuring optimal property temperature control and energy efficiency. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of the mechanical plant.
• Monitor and control property temperature.
• Monitor and analyze energy and utilities usage to identify areas for efficiency.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, meters, and other equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems or electronic wiring.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves.
• Perform routine pool and spa maintenance.
• Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.

• Complete all required safety training and certifications.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees.
• Ability to move in confined or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
• Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Ability to assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
