The Role: Excavation Documentation Support Engineer

Bouygues Travaux Publics is seeking an Excavation Documentation Support Engineer to join its team in Al ‘Ulá, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on ensuring the completeness, consistency, and alignment of excavation documentation with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and review excavation documentation outputs from production activities.
  • Support the preparation of documentation, including logs, drawings, and related materials for reporting and stakeholder review.
  • Verify that field updates are accurately reflected in the project documentation package.
  • Flag discrepancies in documentation for timely correction.
  • Collaborate with site teams and production coordinators to capture changes and maintain document versions.
  • Support efficient documentation handover processes.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for audits and internal quality checks, ensuring traceability from execution to records.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 0-1 years of experience supporting excavation documentation in construction or production environments.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with site documentation workflows is ideal.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation practices, including as-built/record drawings, logs, version control, and document traceability in a production setting.
  • Proficiency in document control processes and meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, excavation/earthworks terminology, and typical reporting requirements in construction projects.
  • Relevant computer skills for documentation preparation and maintaining organized project records, utilizing drawing/document management and reporting tools.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including site, production, and quality/document control.
  • Clear communication skills in a fast-moving project environment.
