Storekeeper

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Storekeeper to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The Storekeeper is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of merchandise and supplies, ensuring adherence to company standards and food safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items appropriately for placement within the facility.
• Deliver merchandise to the correct departments and stack received items on pallets or carts.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify management promptly of low stock levels.
• Receive deliveries, ensure proper storage of perishables, and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Inspect deliveries, verifying freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality of items and refusing damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect goods.
• Adhere to all food safety and handling policies and procedures across food-related areas.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize all refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.

Workplace Conduct and Safety

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Communicate with guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Capacity to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.

Experience and Qualifications

This role requires 0-1 years of relevant experience. Candidates should be able to perform all reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
