We are seeking an Application Architect to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, for a full-time position.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Application Architect will define, maintain, and govern the Application Architecture across enterprise and banking environments. This role is central to developing current-state and target-state application landscapes, establishing application and integration standards, and ensuring all application designs align with approved Enterprise Architecture. The Application Architect will collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Security, Data, Infrastructure, and development teams to support application modernization, rationalization, integration, and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the Application Architecture and application landscape.
• Develop and maintain current-state and target-state application architectures.
• Define application architecture principles, standards, and guidelines.
• Design application components and define their relationships and dependencies.
• Define and maintain integration and API architecture.
• Assess application dependencies, impacts, and technology risks.
• Identify gaps between current-state and target-state application architecture.
• Ensure application designs comply with approved Enterprise Architecture standards.
• Review and approve application architecture and solution designs.
• Support application modernization, rationalization, and transformation initiatives.
• Ensure application architecture supports business capabilities and requirements.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Security, Data, Infrastructure, and development teams.
• Maintain the application repository, architecture models, and related documentation.
• Monitor compliance with approved application architecture standards and principles.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in application architecture or a related field.
• Strong understanding of application dependencies, interfaces, and integration patterns.
• Experience with architecture governance, design reviews, and technology standards.

Preferred Skills and Background

• Experience in banking or financial services.
• Experience working in a SAMA-regulated environment.
• Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles and frameworks.
