The company operates in over 200 countries and territories, guided by values that prioritize safety, ethics, and quality. Otis is seeking an EH&S Officer to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 2-5 years of experience, focusing on coordinating and implementing safety activities to ensure a safe workplace for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all safety activities, including the preparation of internal and external reports.
• Conduct audits and reviews in line with company targets.
• Develop and deliver training programs for operations engineers and supervisors to manage Health, Safety, and Environment requirements at their sites.
• Provide technical support for safety periodical requirements.
• Train engineers and supervisors on accident investigations and hazard/risk detection, monitoring the effectiveness of their training and audits.
• Conduct unannounced audits to ensure EH&S requirements are implemented and supported by proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with the Safety Policy and all applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules.
• Recommend improvements to EH&S practices.
• Ensure a safe workplace for both office and field employees.
• Monitor the effectiveness of safety communication systems, such as Tool Box Talks (TBTs).
• Oversee the system for auditing tools and ensure all employees receive properly certified tools.
• Conduct written Risk Assessments for new projects and as required.
• Monitor the implementation of recognition and disciplinary actions related to safety.
• Ensure all observations from external audits are addressed within given deadlines.
• Monitor timely accident reporting and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain all safety records methodically.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for the EH&S Officer position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in environmental health and safety roles. The role requires a commitment to safety policies and regulatory compliance, along with the ability to coordinate and conduct safety-related training and audits effectively.
