Jumeirah, a global leader in luxury hospitality, is seeking an Electrical Lead Technician - Engineering to join the team at Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah. This property is located in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, just minutes from Masjid Al Haram, offering a blend of comfort, connectivity, and Arabian hospitality in the heart of the Holy City.

Role Summary

The Electrical Lead Technician is a full-time position responsible for overseeing and executing electrical maintenance operations within the hotel. This role involves leading a team, ensuring the functionality of critical electrical systems, and coordinating with specialist contractors to maintain high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Electrical Engineering team during daily operations, preventive maintenance (PPM), corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response.
• Execute and supervise PPM for MV/LV switchgear, transformers, MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, electrical panels, and associated distribution systems.
• Coordinate and assist specialist contractors during planned preventive maintenance, testing, inspection, and commissioning of switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, ATS, and other critical electrical equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections and PPM of all hotel electrical panels, including those in Guest Rooms, Residences, Front of House, Back of House, plant rooms, kitchens, retail areas, and common areas.
• Prepare and monitor Hotel HLP and Retail HLP readings, investigate abnormal readings, and report significant variations in consumption or load.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of the hotel's electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, panel schedules, cable routes, and distribution systems to support effective troubleshooting.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3–5 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a Team Leader or Senior Technician position.
• Experience gained within a luxury 5-star hotel or a large commercial facility is preferred.
• Strong practical experience with MV/LV switchgear, transformers, MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, generators, ATS, UPS, and electrical distribution systems.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical SLDs, layouts, panel schedules, and distribution systems.
• Proficiency in English, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.

Compensation

This full-time position offers an attractive salary, paid in Saudi Riyals (SAR).
