Fleet Maintenance & Yard Manager

About the Role

Flow Progressive Logistics is seeking a Fleet Maintenance & Yard Manager to oversee fleet, workshop maintenance, and yard operations in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah. This full-time role is critical for ensuring the transport fleet remains safe, compliant, and available for operations. The manager will translate operating plans into actionable strategies for preventive and corrective maintenance, spare parts, tire, fuel, and telematics control, while also maintaining a safe and efficient yard environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Fleet Maintenance & Yard Manager will be responsible for governing fleet uptime, cost efficiency, safety standards, and asset lifecycle management to ensure service reliability and protect operational margins. Specific responsibilities include:

• Managing in-house workshop activities and external repair vendors, including labor, parts, turnaround time, and repair quality.
• Owning spare-parts inventory, the tire management program, and warranty claims processes.
• Tracking vehicle downtime, defect rates, and repeat-failure root causes, and driving corrective actions.
• Controlling fuel consumption, managing fuel card issuance and reconciliation, and implementing anti-theft/leakage controls.
• Managing the GPS/telematics platform for monitoring driver behavior, idling, speed, and route compliance.
• Ensuring compliance with traffic, transport, and HSSE regulations, and managing permits, inspections, and incident reporting.
• Overseeing yard layout, parking, staging, security, and traffic flow for trucks and trailers.
• Coordinating yard safety controls, signage, lighting, and housekeeping standards.
• Managing yard staff scheduling, gate-in/gate-out procedures, and in-yard asset tracking.
• Owning the fleet and maintenance operating budget, tracking cost per kilometer/vehicle, and analyzing variance to plan.
• Producing fleet KPI dashboards covering downtime, availability, maintenance cost, and safety incidents.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a strong background in fleet and yard management, demonstrating the ability to lead complex operations effectively. The ideal candidate will have:

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in fleet maintenance and yard operations.
• Proven ability to manage in-house workshops and external vendor relationships.
• Experience with spare parts inventory, tire management, and warranty claims.
• Familiarity with GPS/telematics platforms and data analysis for fleet performance.
• Strong understanding of traffic, transport, and HSSE regulations.
• Budget management skills, including cost tracking and variance analysis.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with operational oversight extending to Jeddah. The role requires on-site management of fleet and yard activities.
