About the Role

Reza Investment Company is seeking a Laundry Application Expert to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing technical expertise and hands-on application support across commercial and industrial laundry operations. The primary objective is to ensure effective washing performance, chemical efficiency, equipment performance, and consistent quality standards.

The expert will be responsible for programming and optimising laundry processes, conducting analyses, developing wash programmes, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and providing technical recommendations. This role works closely with Laundry Operations, Engineering, Sales, and customers to deliver on-site technical support, training, and solutions that enhance wash quality, garment care, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme, monitor, and optimise tunnel washers and washer extractors to improve washing efficiency, productivity, quality, and overall operational performance.
  • Develop and adjust wash programmes based on laundry classification, fabric type, customer requirements, and operational needs.
  • Select, dose, and apply appropriate laundry chemicals to ensure effective cleaning performance and fabric care.
  • Perform application titration within wash cycles to verify chemical concentrations, dosing performance, and compliance with standards.
  • Conduct water analysis for laundry operations and support adjustments to wash programmes and chemical applications based on water conditions.
  • Monitor and analyse wash cycles, recommending adjustments to improve productivity, wash quality, water consumption, energy utilisation, chemical consumption, and process efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks covering wash quality, cleanliness, stain removal, garment care, and rewash performance, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
  • Monitor laundry process KPIs including productivity, turnaround time, rewash rates, water consumption, energy consumption, quality performance, and operational efficiency, preparing related reports.
  • Apply working knowledge of laundry equipment and coordinate with Engineering teams to address malfunctions or technical conditions affecting wash processes and quality.
  • Train laundry staff on wash programmes, chemical handling, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), chemical applications, equipment operation, and quality standards.
  • Provide customer technical support by understanding requirements, offering recommendations, and supporting solutions aligned with operational needs.
  • Conduct customer site visits to assess laundry processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend enhancements to wash quality, productivity, water consumption, and energy utilisation.
  • Prepare technical and KPI reports covering process performance, quality results, identified issues, and recommended improvements.
  • Support customer relationships by providing professional on-site technical service and tailored solutions that improve laundry processes and overall operational performance.

Required Experience and Competencies

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field. The position requires the ability to work under general direction, independently performing assigned laundry application activities such as wash programme configuration, titration, water analysis, chemical applications, process monitoring, quality assessments, technical troubleshooting, and customer support. Complex technical matters should be escalated as required.

The role demands interaction with and support for Laundry Operations, Engineering, Sales, customers, and other stakeholders by providing technical guidance, training, application recommendations, and operational support. It involves performing a range of technical activities related to tunnel washers, washer extractors, laundry chemicals, water conditions, fabric classifications, chemical dosing, wash quality, equipment performance, and customer-specific operational requirements. The ability to investigate and resolve technical issues within established practices and procedures is essential.

A sound practical knowledge of industrial laundry applications, laundry chemistry, wash programme development, titration, water analysis, process optimisation, quality control, technical training, customer service, analytical problem-solving, and reporting is required. Effective communication of technical information and contribution to continuous improvement of laundry operations are also key.

  • Wash Quality: Performance in stain removal effectiveness, cleanliness standards, and garment care.
  • Process Efficiency: Productivity, turnaround time, and wash-cycle efficiency.
  • Chemical Performance: Chemical consumption, dosing accuracy, and titration compliance.
  • Water & Energy Efficiency: Water consumption, energy consumption, and efficiency improvements.
  • Quality Control: Rewash rate, quality compliance, and resolution of recurring quality issues.
  • Technical Support: Technical response time, issue resolution, and site assessment completion.
  • Training: Training completion, staff competency, and SOP and chemical application compliance.
  • Customer Support: Customer satisfaction, implementation of technical recommendations, and improvement in customer laundry processes.
  • Reporting: KPI reporting accuracy, technical report quality, and reporting timeliness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implemented process improvements, productivity enhancements, water and energy reduction, and wash-quality improvement.

Work Environment

This role is primarily field-based, involving regular visits to commercial and industrial laundry facilities, complemented by office-based technical planning and reporting. The schedule is full-time with flexibility required to support customer operations, conduct site assessments, perform technical troubleshooting, and optimise wash programmes.

The position is a hands-on technical role, necessitating regular interaction with industrial laundry equipment, tunnel washers, washer extractors, laundry chemicals, dosing systems, water-analysis processes, and customer operations. It requires strong technical knowledge, practical problem-solving abilities, attention to quality, and strict adherence to health and safety requirements.
