About the Laundry Supervisor Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts in Jeddah is seeking a full-time Laundry Supervisor. This role involves overseeing daily laundry operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and efficient handling of all items. The supervisor will be responsible for operating and monitoring laundry machinery while maintaining overall service quality.

Key Operational Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including the addition of chemicals and cleaning of lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and determine appropriate action for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect the cleanliness of articles removed from machines and place them into clean linen carts.
• Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on the fabric types in each load.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Fold cleaned articles to designated sizes, either by hand or using a folding machine.
• Maintain accurate records of all laundered items.

• Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance; ensure confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues; support the team in achieving common goals; listen and respond appropriately to concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify any defects.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Physical Demands

The nature of this role requires the ability to:

• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Experience: 0-1 years of related work experience.
• Education: No high school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
• Supervisory Experience: No prior supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None specified.
