About the Role

Emdad By Elm is seeking a Lead BPM & Workflow Automation Engineer to join their team in Makkah, with locations in Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of BPM and workflow automation solutions, focusing on scalable process orchestration using Camunda 7 and Camunda 8. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Lead BPM & Workflow Automation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring technical quality, integration, governance, and alignment with business requirements for all BPM and workflow automation initiatives. This includes leading projects from concept through to production and providing technical guidance to development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead BPM and workflow automation projects from concept through development, testing, and production phases.
  • Design and implement BPM and workflow automation solutions utilizing Camunda 7 and Camunda 8.
  • Define technical architecture and integration strategies for workflow and process automation solutions.
  • Develop process orchestration solutions and integrate workflows with enterprise systems.
  • Lead migration initiatives between BPM platforms and support the transition of existing workflows and processes.
  • Review technical designs, development approaches, and code quality to ensure adherence to technical standards and best practices.
  • Mentor development teams and provide technical guidance and training.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze, optimize, and automate business processes.
  • Establish and maintain BPM governance, standards, development guidelines, and best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, ensuring it is updated with the latest enhancements and releases.
  • Assist in reviewing and improving the existing technical architecture, including design patterns and development practices.
  • Work in compliance with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Design database structures and develop efficient SQL queries to support BPM and workflow solutions.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to the performance, stability, and continuous improvement of workflow solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4–7 years of relevant experience in BPM, workflow automation, software development, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with Camunda 7 and Camunda 8.
  • Strong knowledge of BPM, BPMN, workflow automation, and process orchestration.
  • Experience in technical architecture, system integration, and API-based integrations.
  • Strong database knowledge, including database design and SQL queries.
  • Experience with software development practices and the SDLC.
  • Experience in technical design and code reviews.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to mentor developers and provide technical guidance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders.

Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with work locations in Jeddah and Makkah.
