About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a dedicated Life Guard to join our team in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and is central to ensuring the safety of all guests utilizing our recreation facilities. The Life Guard is responsible for maintaining a secure swimming environment and providing assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques if observing swimmers in need of assistance.
• Provide immediate assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Promote and enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors or managers.
• Report all accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management, and complete required safety training and certifications.

Operational Duties and Guest Service

• Maintain a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests while upholding safety standards.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels in accordance with company procedures.
• Perform cleaning duties including washing, mopping, and maintaining the pool deck.
• Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Commitment to following company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets.
• Adherence to quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Demands

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (*, to identify defects).
• Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down ladders, stairs, and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
