Engineering Admin

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking an Engineering Admin to join its team in Medina. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on maintaining the property's operational efficiency and ensuring guest satisfaction through timely and effective repair services.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly, communicating effectively to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery for operational integrity.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisitioning parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and ensure thorough cleanup of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment, plumbing (*, plunging toilets, unclogging drains), electrical components, and guestroom items.
• Program TVs and manage general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system for all maintenance work.
• Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external sprinklers.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and general building maintenance.
• Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and heavier items with assistance.
• Proficiency in using clear and professional language for communication.

Safety and Security Compliance

The role requires adherence to all company and safety and security policies and procedures. This includes reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; completing safety training and certifications; and properly storing flammable materials. Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets are also essential.
