Engineering Technician

About the Role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team in the Red Sea region. This full-time position involves responding to guest repair requests and performing essential maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of hotel facilities. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.
• Communicate effectively with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for proper function and identify any issues.
• Carry necessary equipment, such as tools and radios, to job sites.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment as required.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies when needed.
• Record information for unfinished calls prior to shift changes.

Safety and Security Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Properly store flammable materials according to safety guidelines.

Guest Service and Professional Conduct

• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation for their patronage.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Teamwork and Physical Requirements

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Support the team to achieve common goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capable of moving up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant engineering or maintenance technician role. A strong understanding of general maintenance procedures and safety protocols is essential for this position.
