Fleet Operations Manager

About the Role

United Group is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to lead the group's land transport fleet and logistics execution. This full-time role is based in Al Madinah, with operations spanning cities such as Yanbu and Medina. The primary objective is to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of raw materials and finished products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead fleet planning, maintenance, and driver management.
• Manage third-party transporters and lead inbound and outbound logistics teams.
• Plan fleet capacity and utilization to meet transport demand.
• Define fleet policies, standards, and KPIs in alignment with the Supply Chain strategy.
• Develop and manage the fleet operating and capital budget.
• Oversee daily fleet dispatch, routing, and delivery performance.
• Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, inspected, and compliant with licensing requirements.
• Control fuel, maintenance, and transport costs, driving efficiency improvements.
• Manage contracts and performance of third-party transport and logistics providers.
• Evaluate transporter rates, service quality, and compliance regularly.
• Resolve delivery issues, claims, and service failures with transporters.
• Enforce road safety, driver fitness, and HSE standards across the fleet.
• Lead and develop Land Logistics specialists and drivers.
• Report fleet performance, costs, and risks to the VP Supply Chain.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in fleet operations and logistics management. The position requires a strong understanding of land transport logistics, fleet maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

Leadership and Management

The Fleet Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a team of logistics specialists and drivers, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency. This includes managing relationships with third-party providers and ensuring adherence to service level agreements.

Logistics and Supply Chain Integration

This role is integral to the broader Supply Chain strategy, focusing on optimizing the movement of goods from raw materials to finished products. The manager will contribute to defining fleet policies and KPIs that support overall supply chain objectives.
