Supervisor Engineering

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Supervisor-Engineering to join their team in Medina. This full-time role involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of tools, appliances, and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety standards are met. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment, recommending replacements as needed.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters, and identify and operate all shut-off valves.
• Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies, maintaining inventory and purchase order logs.
• Inspect tools, equipment, or machines and utilize computer systems for work-related information.
• Operate power lifts and complete life safety checklists, including fire-pump and generator run tests.
• Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems, and assist in developing disaster response protocols.
• Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.

Leadership and Operational Support

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Ensure adherence to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a professional appearance and ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure quality expectations and standards are met, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
