Supervisor Housekeeping

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Housekeeping to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time position involves overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure quality standards are met across guest rooms and public areas. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and the pool after cleaning to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Support Housekeeping management in daily activity coordination.
• Act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments.
• Communicate relevant issues to the next shift and complete required paperwork.

Operational Support and Team Leadership

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Ensure all company, safety, and security policies and procedures are followed.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure employees maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Guest Service and Communication

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, listening and responding appropriately to their concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.
• Read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.

Additional Duties

The Supervisor Housekeeping will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by their Supervisors, contributing to the overall efficiency and guest satisfaction within the hotel environment.
