Technician Carpenter

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Technician - Carpenter to join its team in Medina. This full-time role involves constructing, installing, and repairing various wooden structures and finishes throughout the property. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, install, and repair walls and partitions, including drywall, wallpaper, millwork/molding, and faux finishing.
• Install and repair various finishes, such as laminates.
• Perform rough-in framing for doors, frames, windows, and cabinetry.
• Repair, maintain, and construct wood structures including partitions, doors, furniture, and similar items across the property.
• Execute minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
• Order necessary items by completing requisitions, obtaining manager approval, and utilizing appropriate vendors.
• Load, transport, and unload freight from elevators to designated areas using a hand truck.
• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Communicate professionally with others and foster positive working relationships.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Perform tasks requiring reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and moving up and down a ladder.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or * equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience in carpentry or a similar trade.
• No supervisory experience is required for this position.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic hospitality environment. The role involves physical tasks and interaction with guests and colleagues.
