About the Role

Jacobs is seeking a BIM Manager to join their team in Neom, Al Jawf, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on leading Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital engineering activities for a major water infrastructure project as it enters its close-out phase. The successful candidate will ensure all BIM models, Civil 3D deliverables, asset information, and digital records accurately reflect completed works and meet handover requirements.

Role Context and Focus

The BIM Manager will work closely with engineering, construction, GIS, commissioning, and project controls teams. Key areas of focus include as-built model management, data quality assurance, asset information delivery, and the successful transfer of digital project information to the client and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead BIM and digital engineering activities for project completion, handover, and close-out.
  • Manage and maintain federated BIM models to accurately reflect as-built conditions across the project.
  • Oversee the development, review, and approval of Civil 3D models, utility networks, corridors, pipe networks, and associated infrastructure deliverables.
  • Coordinate model updates with engineering, construction, GIS, survey, and commissioning teams.
  • Ensure all BIM deliverables meet project standards, client requirements, and information management protocols.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of digital handover packages, including BIM models, asset information, geospatial data, and as-built records.
  • Establish and implement quality assurance processes for model validation, data integrity, and information completeness.
  • Manage Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows, document control processes, and digital information governance.
  • Coordinate BIM clash reviews, constructability assessments, and model-based issue resolution during close-out activities.
  • Support operational readiness and asset management initiatives by ensuring accurate and complete asset information is available for long-term operations and maintenance.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in BIM, digital engineering, or design coordination roles supporting major infrastructure, utilities, water, transportation, or civil engineering projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of BIM delivery, information management, model coordination, asset information requirements, as-built documentation, and digital project handover processes.
  • Infrastructure Experience: Proven experience delivering BIM for large-scale infrastructure projects, including water, utilities, linear assets, pipeline networks, roads, and civil works.
  • Digital Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM Collaborate Pro, and Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms. Experience with GIS integration and asset information systems is desirable.
  • Project & Commercial Acumen: Experience supporting project delivery, contractor management, digital compliance, handover requirements, change management, risk mitigation, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Behavioral Skills: Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to drive digital delivery across multiple project teams.
  • Preferred Experience: Working on major water or utility infrastructure projects in the Middle East, with a strong understanding of BIM standards, ISO 19650 principles, and asset information management requirements.

Work Environment

This is a full-time onsite position. Employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full-time basis, as required by the nature of the role.
