About the Role

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to join their team in Neom, Tabuk. This full-time role involves providing essential support in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions through the performance and management of various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The technician will be responsible for patient preparation, operating advanced diagnostic equipment, conducting non-invasive tests, and assisting in invasive procedures to monitor heart and vascular health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients, assemble, and operate hemodynamic and electrophysiological equipment during interventional and diagnostic procedures under physician supervision.
  • Assist physicians in performing invasive procedures and conduct related radiographic/fluoroscopic imaging.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of stocks, supplies, and a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Cath Lab team to optimize patient outcomes and quality care.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, continuing education, and quality improvement projects.
  • Set up and prepare the lab, equipment, and supplies for various cardiac procedures including catheterizations, angiography, interventions, ablations, and pacemaker implantations.
  • Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort, while observing for adverse reactions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and regulations for cardiovascular diagnostic equipment.
  • Maintain and operate cardiovascular diagnostic equipment, staying updated on the latest technology and treatment methods.
  • Track patient data, interpret test results, and report findings to physicians.
  • Assist the Head of Department with annual equipment planning, budget, and procurement.
  • Manage supply activities including ordering, receiving, verifying, and updating items.
  • Test all equipment for accurate calibration, functioning, image quality, and quality assurance.
  • Operate fluoroscopic, cineangiography, contrast injection equipment, intra-aortic balloon pumps, cardiac output computers, and pulse generators as directed by a physician.
  • Perform CPR when necessary, under physician direction.
  • Maintain data and image records, including computer and hard copy forms, CD archiving, and EPS readouts.
  • Assist in data storage and retrieval, and support physicians in research studies and new equipment testing.
  • Assist other staff with patient transport and inventory management as required.
  • Review equipment maintenance contracts and schedule maintenance checks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment problems, and perform periodical function and quality control checks.
  • Implement policies and procedures to achieve hospital goals and objectives in line with Standards of Care and Quality/Performance Improvement.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventative measures.
  • Perform all duties in support of Fakeeh’s Person-Centered care values and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, maintain confidentiality, and comply with cybersecurity policies and the Fakeeh Care code of conduct.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Completion of mandatory education as per the requirement, at least one month prior to expiration.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Neom, Tabuk, within the Fakeeh Care Group. The role involves working collaboratively within the Cath Lab team and across various departments to ensure optimal patient care.
