CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST NON INVASIVE ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) | مستشفى الملك فيصل التخصصي is seeking a CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST, NON-INVASIVE ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and involves working independently to ensure a safe and proper testing environment in various clinical settings.

Role Overview

The Cardiovascular Technologist will be responsible for performing non-invasive cardiac investigations and urgent procedures on critically ill patients across different hospital areas, including the laboratory, wards, operating room, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Emergency Room. The role involves recognizing and eliminating artifacts to produce meaningful diagnostic information for physician interpretation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive cardiac investigations such as ECG, Holter monitoring, stress testing, pacemaker and ICD analysis, blood pressure monitoring, and echocardiography procedures including Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Stress Echocardiography (SE).
• Conduct urgent procedures on critically ill patients portably in various locations including wards, OR, Cardiac Cath Lab, ICUs, and Emergency Room.
• Assist physicians with procedures in the OR, Cardiac Cath Lab, or other settings as required.
• Observe and monitor patients during procedures, noting signs of distress or medical emergencies, taking remedial action, and notifying nursing or medical staff as necessary.
• Produce diagnostic information, obtain measured and calculated data, and prepare preliminary reports for review by the reporting physician.
• Document and log all patient events and procedures accurately.
• Ensure a safe environment and safe operation of equipment, monitoring equipment, reporting hazards or repair needs, and calibrating equipment as required.
• Clean and disinfect clinical equipment in accordance with Laboratory and Hospital policies or manufacturer instructions.
• Ensure procedure rooms are clean, tidy, and adequately stocked with supplies, linen, and other necessary items.
• Participate in the on-call roster and assist with emergency resuscitation procedures.
• Apply sterile technique for Cardiac Cath Lab, OR, and isolation patients, and adhere to infection control policies within the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab.
• Comply with section policies, procedures, protocols, and the section's quality improvement program in accordance with CBAHI, JCI, SFDA, and other accreditation agency standards.
• Adhere to Radiation safety rules and regulations of the hospital, KACST, * CARE, and other national or international regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Current registration from the country of origin is mandatory.
• Current registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialist (SCHS) is required.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a hospital setting that requires adaptability to various clinical environments including critical care areas.
