Job Description

About the Role

Petro Rabigh is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join their team in Rabigh. This full-time position requires a professional with over 10 years of relevant experience to lead reliability engineering initiatives and enhance asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive reliability engineering activities, including complex analyses and failure investigations.
  • Mentor junior reliability engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Conduct advanced reliability modeling, such as Weibull analysis, RAM analysis, and Monte Carlo simulations where applicable.
  • Develop plant reliability strategies, asset performance dashboards, and long-term improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Projects to integrate design-for-reliability principles.
  • Lead Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for significant failures and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support asset lifecycle planning, obsolescence management, and major turnaround activities.
  • Contribute to Assessment Management and the Reliability Framework, including Process Safety and AI MS.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE) or an equivalent qualification from a reputable university. Degrees in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation are preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant technical experience in the engineering field, specifically within large Refinery or Petrochemical environments.

Essential Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of reliability engineering principles and asset management practices.
  • Proven ability to lead RCAs and effectively resolve complex technical failures.
  • Strong experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), RAM analysis, and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) technologies.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
  • A solid understanding of oil & gas equipment design and common failure mechanisms.
  • The capacity to drive cross-functional reliability improvement initiatives.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Rabigh. The role involves leading critical reliability engineering functions within the Petro Rabigh operations.
