Role Overview
KBR is seeking a Valve Shop Technician II to maintain rotating equipment in optimal condition. This full-time position involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment and mechanical systems to required standards. The role is based in Makkah, specifically in Rabigh or Makkah, and requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate maintenance activities to technicians and assemble teams.
- Supervise ongoing jobs and provide progress updates to the Foreman.
- Organize manpower resources, equipment, and material availability.
- Arrange necessary work permits before commencing work.
- Provide technical advice to technicians regarding proper tool and equipment usage.
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance Planning, and Technical departments to execute and complete tasks.
- Ensure accurate SAP data input, history, and actual hours are maintained.
- Attend daily and weekly maintenance progress meetings.
- Maintain strict compliance with SATORP standards and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with safe work practices, hazardous work regulations, and PPE usage according to SATORP standards.
- Encourage reporting of near misses, unsafe conditions, and acts.
- Participate in safety audits.
- Attend scheduled safety and technical training.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain rotating equipment.
- Proficiency in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with SAP for data input and record-keeping.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position located in the Makkah region, with work primarily in Rabigh or Makkah. The role requires adherence to stringent safety and operational standards, including those set by SATORP.
