Superintendent LQ & Helideck

About the Role

International Maritime Industries is seeking a Superintendent LQ & Helideck to join their team in Ras Tannurah, Eastern. This full-time role is responsible for the overall construction and system integration of Living Quarters and Helideck, ensuring projects are completed safely and on time. The Superintendent will provide onsite coordination for all phases of work, including planning materials, allocating workers and subcontractors, and detailed scheduling as per project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee hot and cold works, including architectural outfitting installation, cable pulling, pipe systems testing, and integration of Living Quarters/Helideck onboard the rig.
• Establish project build methodology, including critical component installation, and collaborate with the project Engineering and Construction teams on build strategy.
• Conduct clash studies with the Project and Engineering team prior to safe installation.
• Participate in the creation of project schedules with the Construction Manager.
• Plan and coordinate material procurement by engaging all stakeholders involved, in phases as per construction requirements.
• Coordinate with external vendors for timely delivery of equipment when necessary.
• Execute and coordinate daily construction activities in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
• Provide progress reporting and schedule management on Construction deliverables.
• Implement, monitor, and drive the project schedule, promptly notifying management of schedule and performance issues and anticipating potential problems.
• Conduct weekly schedule coordination meetings with all subcontractor foremen to outline work completion requirements, manpower needs, interference coordination, inspections, and work sequence. Distribute three-week look-ahead schedules.
• Work closely with the Construction Manager to design and prepare required procedures and standard processes for Living Quarters/Helideck activities.
• Ensure strong knowledge and understanding of shipyard HSEQ regulations and rig building job certification requirements are communicated to the project team.
• Identify work priorities, focus on the critical path, analyze work problems, provide accurate supervision, make decisions, and prepare 'Plan B' for unexpected issues.
• Be fully responsible for the delivery of all Inspection Test Records (ITR’s) under the relevant discipline by delegating to foremen and chargehands, with a focus on interfacing and coordination with other discipline supervision to meet target dates.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in phases of hot works and cold works, including architectural outfitting installation, cable pulling, and pipe systems testing.
• Proven ability to establish project build methodology and conduct clash studies.
• Experience in project scheduling, material procurement coordination, and daily construction operations.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of shipyard HSEQ regulations and rig building job certification requirements.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
