About the Role

The Junior Accountant will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and executing daily accounting activities for the foodservice distribution business. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, requires 0-1 years of experience. Working under the guidance of the finance lead, the Junior Accountant will record transactions, reconcile balances, and assist with inventory accounting, tax documentation, and month-end closing procedures. The role also involves coordination with sales, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure proper transaction documentation and timely resolution of discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Record sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments in Odoo, ensuring correct supporting documents and account classification for each entry.
• Prepare and verify customer invoices and credit notes, and cross-reference supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods receipt records.
• Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and customer and supplier balances, investigating any differences with relevant teams.
• Maintain receivables and payables schedules, prepare customer statements, and support payment follow-up in coordination with sales and finance.
• Assist with inventory reconciliations and stock counts, and verify supporting records for returns, damaged goods, expiry-related write-offs, and other stock adjustments.
• Support the allocation of freight, customs, and clearance charges to imported goods under the supervision of the finance lead.
• Contribute to month-end closing processes through reconciliations and schedules for accruals and prepayments, and organize records for reporting and external audits.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
• Proficiency in recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Experience with Odoo or similar ERP systems is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
