Accountant

About the Role

Jazeera Paints is seeking an Accountant to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounts payable transactions, managing payment processes, and ensuring compliant financial reporting. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting various departments.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and proper reconciliation of accounts payable transactions. This includes overseeing the preparation of payment vouchers, managing tax declarations, and ensuring timely and compliant financial reporting in accordance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily accounting activities, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to high standards of accounting practices.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely reconciliation of all accounts payable records and transactions.
• Prepare daily payment vouchers and ensure proper reconciliation of supplier accounts for each payment cycle.
• Record purchase invoices on a daily basis and ensure timely matching and clearance against corresponding payments.
• Record payments and advance payments accurately on a daily basis, and monitor the receipt and processing of related invoices.
• Coordinate withholding tax matters for foreign supplier payments in collaboration with the tax consultant, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Prepare and submit accurate tax declarations and statutory filings in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve payment discrepancies, invoice-related issues, and other accounts payable inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Liaise with Supply Chain and other departments to ensure timely receipt of Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and submission of invoices to Finance.
• Respond promptly to accounting inquiries from Finance and other departments, providing required information and support.
• Ensure all accounts payable transactions are accurately recorded, properly documented, and systematically maintained.
• Prepare and submit timely and accurate periodic accounts payable reports to support management review and financial oversight.
• Execute activities related to the function using safe and environmentally sound methods.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor or manager.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the finance department of Jazeera Paints. The role requires coordination with various internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth financial operations.
