The Role of Accountant
AKA LAW is seeking a skilled and proactive Accountant to join its finance team in Riyadh. This role is central to managing the firm's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient support for both internal teams and external stakeholders. The Accountant will be responsible for a broad range of financial activities, contributing directly to the firm's operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, recording journal entries, and ensuring timely financial closing processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial records.
- Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash transactions effectively.
- Work closely with the legal team to track billable hours, generate client invoices accurately, and follow up on collections.
- Liaise with vendors, clients, and government authorities for various financial matters.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities to aid financial planning.
- Assist in preparing and filing VAT returns, zakat declarations, and other required tax submissions in compliance with regulations.
- Assist with annual audits and coordinate effectively with external auditors.
- Maintain organized and comprehensive records of financial documents and contracts.
- Ensure full compliance with internal controls and company financial policies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all company and client financial information.
Required Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional experience in an accounting role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing comprehensive financial transactions and reporting.
- Experience with Saudi Arabian tax regulations, including VAT and zakat declarations.
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with various internal departments and external parties.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based at AKA LAW's office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will operate within a dynamic and professional legal consultancy environment, contributing to a team-oriented culture.
