Assistant Chief Engineer

About the Role

The Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of the physical building and its systems, contributing to the delivery of hospitality experiences for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team by recruiting, training, supervising, and mentoring team members. This includes conducting performance evaluations, providing professional development, and recognizing achievements.
• Assist the Chief Engineer in managing daily maintenance operations, overseeing activities, prioritizing tasks, and verifying completion through the property maintenance management system. Ensure timely resolution of service requests, guest concerns, and emergencies.
• Ensure safety and compliance by overseeing the maintenance of the physical building, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and life safety systems. Coordinate inspections and uphold safety and compliance standards in line with national and local regulations.
• Support the Chief Engineer in driving engineering performance by monitoring departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including equipment upkeep, audit results, and team productivity, and taking necessary actions to improve performance.
• Support hotel-wide operational leadership by collaborating with the broader hotel leadership team on evacuation procedures, duty manager coverage, and other safety protocols as needed.
• Oversee contractor work, supervising external contractors and inspecting completed work for quality and compliance.
• Lead energy efficiency initiatives, supporting and overseeing property-wide energy conservation programs to reduce utility costs.
