The Opportunity: Assistant Cost Manager

Mace is seeking a Saudi National Assistant Cost Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to a large multipurpose venue project, which is being developed for long-term use as a versatile hub for sports, entertainment, and community events in the heart of Riyadh.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with feasibility studies, procurement strategies, contract selection, and the preparation of procurement reports to support project delivery.
  • Support value management, estimating, and cost planning activities to develop accurate and effective project cost plans.
  • Participate in the full procurement process, including prequalification, tender enquiries, bid analysis, contractor selection, and contract preparation.
  • Assist in preparing contract documents, warranties, bonds, licenses, valuations, and managing contract variations in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Support cost control, financial reporting, cost analysis, and the monitoring of design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client-related costs.
  • Contribute to contract administration activities, including practical completion, final accounts, defect rectification certification, and final completion processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicants must be a Saudi national.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required, specifically in supporting cost planning, measurement, variations, and reporting within project environments.

Project Contribution and Team Development

This role involves providing essential cost management support to project teams and developing effective relationships with stakeholders. The Assistant Cost Manager will also contribute to the achievement of team and regional objectives, guide and coach junior team members, and promote collaborative working practices. Furthermore, the role supports net zero carbon initiatives through proactive carbon management and reduction strategies.
