Assistant Manager IT Security Design

About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an Assistant Manager - IT Security Design to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role involves supporting the planning, design, and implementation of secure IT architecture and infrastructure solutions. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and focuses on ensuring security requirements are integrated into technology designs across corporate and asset environments.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to support the integration of security requirements into technology designs. The Assistant Manager will work closely with architecture, infrastructure, application, and other technology teams to promote secure-by-design practices. This involves ensuring that IT security is a fundamental component of all new and existing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, research, and design security architecture for IT systems.
• Translate security requirements into scalable and reusable security design patterns.
• Coordinate security design activities with architecture, infrastructure, and application teams.
• Review security designs and maintain appropriate design governance, traceability, and exception handling.
• Develop, review, and approve security requirements for LAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, router, and related network technologies.
• Evaluate business requirements and determine appropriate security protocols and controls.
• Review existing security measures and identify required enhancements.
• Conduct security testing and monitoring and support validation through appropriate test scripts.
• Support vendor and procurement activities associated with security solutions.
• Maintain awareness of emerging security practices, standards, and technologies.
• Support team capability through regular feedback, coaching, knowledge sharing, and onboarding activities.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess 2-5 years of experience in IT security design or a related field. The role requires a strong understanding of secure IT architecture and infrastructure solutions, as well as the ability to translate security requirements into practical designs.
