The Opportunity: Audit & Assurance Assistant Manager

Deloitte is seeking an Audit & Assurance Assistant Manager, Accounting & Reporting Advisory, to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position for professionals with 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role involves participating in client proposals and overseeing the day-to-day operations of engagements within the Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) practice.

Core Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager in Accounting and Reporting Advisory, you will be responsible for a range of activities, including:

• Conducting research on technical issues under IFRS and other local GAAPs, contributing to high-quality technical reports and presentations.
• Actively contributing to client proposal development, including drafting scope of work and project budgets.
• Collaborating with managers, senior managers, partners, and clients to influence strategy and manage risks and client expectations.
• Drafting revenue recognition and leasing accounting policies under IFRS and other local GAAPs for clients.
• Leading and delivering engagements for the preparation of financial statements under IFRS and other local GAAP frameworks for clients across diversified industries.
• Ensuring engagement teams fully understand client objectives, goals, and expectations.
• Preparing training to educate clients on the potential impact of new accounting standards on their financial statements and systems.
• Actively participating in devising project planning and strategy, working closely with leadership to manage projects locally and internationally.
• Managing projects involving complex accounting advice on abnormal transactions or acquisitions, financial statements and accounting policies review, IFRS impact assessment, and the preparation of technical accounting memos on specific IFRS topics.
