The Captain Role

The Captain plays a central role in coordinating service delivery for various functions, ensuring a seamless and high-quality guest experience. This position involves direct communication with kitchen and stewarding teams, as well as interaction with guests to confirm satisfaction. Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a foundational understanding of service operations.

Key Service Responsibilities

• Communicate service requirements to chefs and stewards throughout events.
• Total charges for group functions and present checks to group contacts for payment.
• Ensure banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee breaks are prepared for service.
• Display proper centerpieces on all tables according to event standards.
• Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver before use.
• Engage with guests to ensure their satisfaction during service.
• Set tables in accordance with the specific event type and established service standards.
• Relay additional meal requirements, allergy information, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen team.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout the day.

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.

• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.

Physical Demands and Professional Expectations

The role requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. It also involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. The Captain is expected to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors, always upholding the highest standards of professionalism and service.
