About the Role

Afaq Q Tech General Trading is seeking a Category Manager, Amazon Now, to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves managing the end-to-end performance of one or more product categories within Amazon Now (Anow) in Saudi Arabia. Anow is Amazon's quick commerce offering, providing everyday essentials with 15-minute delivery from dark stores across the country. The Category Manager will focus on selection, availability, and commercial priorities to drive growth, basket penetration, and margin objectives.

Role Context

This is a hands-on position requiring comfort with data analysis, cross-team coordination, and delivering category improvements at pace. The role operates within a fast-scaling environment aimed at achieving market leadership in a competitive quick commerce market. The Category Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the right products, prices, promotions, and activities are in place to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and continuously refine the selection assortment to optimize product mix and drive top and bottom-line performance.
  • Own the P&L for assigned categories post-launch, working with stakeholders across Vendors, Operations, and Advertising to improve profitability.
  • Monitor daily category performance metrics, including GMS, units, availability, and SWOOS, identifying gaps and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Maintain and expand in-stock assortment by identifying missing ASINs, coordinating onboarding with Vendor Managers, and resolving availability issues with Replenishment and Inbound teams.
  • Prepare category inputs for commercial events, covering inventory, promotional plans, and readiness checklists.
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify selection and availability gaps.
  • Negotiate category marketing funds from vendors and collaborate with the Ads team to secure Amazon's share of brand advertising investment.
  • Build and maintain category dashboards and performance reports to support weekly and monthly business reviews.
  • Identify automation opportunities to improve key inputs such as selection, pricing, profitability, and availability at scale.
  • Support the Category Leader in driving strategic initiatives and identifying growth opportunities across the Grocery and Non-Grocery portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to dive into data and perform root cause analysis.
  • Experience in coordinating across multiple teams and delivering category improvements.
