About the Role

ALJOMAIH BOTTLING PLANTS is seeking a Channel Development Manager for a full-time position based in Riyadh. This role is central to driving channel expansion, optimizing distribution, and executing approved business plans. The primary objective is to ensure sustainable revenue growth, enhance market penetration, and foster strong customer partnerships within assigned channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer channel migration by reviewing business activities and channel suitability, identifying accounts requiring reclassification (*, Catering to Institutional Food Service), coordinating account transfers with Sales teams, and monitoring post-migration performance to ensure accurate channel segmentation.
• Develop and obtain approval for growth mapping plans across non-traditional channels, including institutions, hotels, hospitals, business offices, and restaurants. This involves identifying potential accounts, evaluating channel opportunities, and developing expansion initiatives.
• Oversee the process of Customer Development Agreement (CDA) negotiation with key customers. Evaluate commercial terms such as discounts, visibility investments, and promotional support, align proposals with company policies and budgets, and secure agreements to ensure maximum profitability.
• Support the Food Services Director in developing profitable annual business plans for assigned channels. Analyze channel dynamics, evaluate business drivers, identify growth opportunities, and recommend commercial initiatives to ensure alignment with business objectives and revenue targets.
• Review sponsorship proposals submitted by Key Account Managers (KAMs), evaluating annual sales volumes, business potential, strategic importance of the account, and expected return on investment. Recommend appropriate support levels and obtain required approvals.
• Oversee channel budgets by allocating approved funds across key commercial initiatives such as promotions, customer development agreements, visibility programs, and market development activities. Review actual spend against approved budgets, evaluate return on investment, and approve budget reallocations where required.
• Monitor account performance and lead the team in maintaining compliance with CDA terms and approved commercial frameworks. Utilize tools such as CDF, review forecasts, and track execution performance to ensure business results remain aligned with approved plans and objectives.

Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Coordination

This role involves setting targets for the team, managing activities according to priorities, developing subordinates, appraising their performance, and motivating them to meet business objectives. The Channel Development Manager also approves team vacation requests. Additionally, the role requires coordination with internal support functions, including Finance, BTD, and other departments, to facilitate line extensions, credit limit approvals, product availability, and operational requirements, ensuring timely execution of commercial and channel development initiatives.
