UCC Holding is seeking a Chief Accounting to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position offers an opportunity to lead critical financial operations within the organization, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

Role Summary

The Chief Accounting manages all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves supervising the accounting team, providing guidance and support for accurate and timely financial reporting. Additionally, the Chief Accounting develops and implements accounting policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks, while also managing relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors and tax authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Supervise and provide leadership to accounting staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to maintain a high level of productivity and professionalism.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and safeguard Company assets.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely financial information to management and stakeholders.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments, to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, reviews, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators, to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, such as department heads and business unit leaders, to provide financial guidance, support, and expertise as needed.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance and alignment with best practices in accounting and financial reporting.
  • Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of experience in accounting management. A strong understanding of accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting principles is essential for success in this position.
