About the Role

Mace, a key delivery partner, is seeking a Claims Management Senior Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work on one of the largest programs in Saudi Arabia, encompassing major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, arts, and associated infrastructure.

Role Purpose and Project Context

The Senior Manager will lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project, focusing on comprehensive claims management and commercial oversight. This role is critical for ensuring effective cost control, accurate reporting, and the proactive management of contractual obligations and potential cost impacts within a large-scale development environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the preparation and formal execution of contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licenses with all relevant parties.
  • Lead large teams, driving performance, behaviors, and continuous improvement to achieve organizational KPIs.
  • Oversee valuation measurement to ensure effective cost control, forecasting, and accurate commercial reporting.
  • Direct the production and client presentation of monthly post-contract cost reports.
  • Proactively identify cost impacts arising from design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client-driven requirements.
  • Oversee the evaluation of contractor and subcontractor claims related to delays and additional costs.
  • Direct the issuance of practical completion certificates and advise on making-good-defects and final completion requirements.
  • Lead Cost Consultants in enhancing cost management procedures, tools, and templates, driving best practice, continuous improvement, and supporting net-zero carbon objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Professional membership, such as MRICS/RICS, or an equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development, with progression towards fellowship.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience in bidding and business development.
  • Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen.
  • Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
  • Management experience within large, diverse teams.
