About Tameed and the Compliance Officer Role
Tameed is the first Debt Based Crowd Lending Platform specializing in financing Purchase Orders, licensed by the Saudi Central Bank. We offer fast financing for your PO. This full-time Compliance Officer position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Compliance Officer will ensure Tameed operates in full accordance with the regulations and rules mandated by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA). This role involves staying informed about and communicating any SAMA circulars to employees and stakeholders. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for creating, drafting, and updating necessary internal policies, and ensuring all Tameed employees adhere to these policies. Regular submission of compliance reports to the board and board committees is required, alongside close coordination with regulators and other stakeholders. The position also includes attending board committee and executive meetings, training employees on policies, and continuously checking and following up on requirement documents. Support for the AML unit, document archiving, and maintaining proper records documentation are also key functions. The role involves monitoring compliance, managing reporting, assessing compliance deviations, and recommending enhancements to governance frameworks. Furthermore, the Compliance Officer will conduct compliance checks and internal reviews to ensure alignment across all departments with corporate policies and regulatory requirements, and maintain a close liaison with relevant regulatory bodies. Any works assigned by the direct manager that fall within the field of currency will also be executed.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for this role must possess a Bachelor of Law degree. A comprehensive understanding of SAMA laws and regulations pertaining to financing companies is essential. Proficiency in contract writing is required.
Required Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in communication, possess legal and moral integrity, exhibit analytical thinking capabilities, and have a proven ability to perform the duties of the role. Proficiency in Google Workspace and English language proficiency are also necessary.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The company operates as a licensed financial platform.
