About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Consultant, Cardiac Surgery. This full-time position involves the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions within the field of Cardiac Surgery, ensuring the provision of high-quality medical care in accordance with established medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies and procedures. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care across all aspects of Cardiac Surgery, adhering to approved clinical privileges.
  • Conduct inpatient and emergency room consultations upon request, responding promptly within prescribed timeframes as outlined in KFSH&RC policy.
  • Ensure timely completion, accuracy, and eligibility of medical records.
  • Provide on-call service, ensuring availability and response within hospital policy timeframes.
  • Perform daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge and ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
  • Undertake other assigned clinical responsibilities related to Cardiac Surgery.
  • Offer orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
  • Participate in departmental educational activities, training programs, and national and international medical conferences.
  • Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and continuing education requirements.
  • Engage in clinical, basic, and translational research projects in line with Research Advisory Council Policy to advance knowledge and contribute to the hospital's recognition.

Administrative and Professional Duties

  • Execute administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
  • Participate in mandatory departmental activities, serving on departmental and hospital committees and other administrative functions as required.
  • Assist the department in developing and implementing techniques and practices to maximize resource utilization within the department and across KFSH&RC.
  • Adhere to current hospital and medical staff bylaws, relevant rules, regulations, and policies, staying updated on any changes.
  • Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Participate in self and others' education, training, and development as applicable.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Cardiac Surgery is required.
  • Candidates must meet the current medical staff bylaws and regulations.
