Role Overview

Tamara is seeking an Engineering Manager II to lead a key area within its engineering organization. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. The Engineering Manager II will be responsible for the delivery and technical strategy across multiple complex domains within the product, leading a team of 6-10 senior engineers, potentially structured into two squads.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspire and guide senior engineers, aligning technical direction with company vision and product priorities.
• Develop direct reports and skip-levels for future leadership roles, creating growth opportunities for senior engineers and supporting new managers.
• Lead architectural discussions for team systems, driving continuous improvements in reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Define and own delivery plans for cross-team initiatives, managing resource allocation and hiring strategy for the area.
• Partner with Product and business leadership to influence medium- and long-term product strategies, ensuring teams focus on measurable outcomes.
• Foster an inclusive environment of trust, ownership, and accountability, promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the team and across the engineering organization.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant engineering leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams of senior engineers.
• Strong background in software development and architectural evolution of complex systems.
• Experience in driving alignment between technology goals and product priorities.
• Proven capability in managing complex cross-team dependencies and delivering measurable impact.
