Bechtel, in collaboration with Expo 2030 Riyadh Company (ERC), is managing the infrastructure program for Expo 2030 Riyadh. This global platform, themed “Foresight for Tomorrow,” is scheduled from October 2030 to March 2031 and anticipates over 40 million visits. The project encompasses a 6 km2 Masterplan, including early works, utilities, and public spaces, with a transition into a mixed-use legacy development post-event.

Role Overview

The Digital Delivery Manager will lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of all digital and technological experiences within the project management consultancy (PMC) workflows for Expo 2030 Riyadh. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, involves bridging physical architecture with cutting-edge technology. The manager will oversee cross-functional teams to deliver immersive visitor journeys, smart site solutions, and interactive content, ensuring complex technology deployments are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy technology roadmaps that align with long-term project delivery goals.
  • Identify and automate inefficiencies in traditional PMC workflows using cloud-based or digital solutions.
  • Oversee Building Information Modeling (BIM) data streams and integrate them with project controls, scheduling, and cost tools.
  • Lead training programs to facilitate the adoption of new digital platforms by project managers, engineers, and clients.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with construction technology vendors and software providers.
  • Establish project dashboards, such as Power BI, to provide real-time progress and predictive analytics to executives and clients.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of digital solutions, including custom software, interactive media, mobile applications, and IoT integrations, ensuring timely and budget-compliant launches.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage external technology vendors, creative agencies, and hardware suppliers, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with pavilion architects, interior designers, construction managers, and cultural content curators to integrate digital hardware into physical spaces.
  • Drive the development of smart visitor journeys, including ticketing, indoor wayfinding, augmented reality (AR/VR) activations, and digital crowd-management solutions.
  • Collaborate with network engineers to ensure high-speed site connectivity, robust hardware layouts, data privacy compliance (*, GDPR), and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Establish a dedicated technical support framework for real-time troubleshooting, system maintenance, and updates during the project's operational phase.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in digital project management, technical production, or software product management. Experience within mega-events, museums, theme parks, or international expositions is preferred. This includes at least 5 years in project management consultancy (PMC), construction, or engineering, with a minimum of 2 years focused on digital transformation or construction technology.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of AV technology, content management systems (CMS), immersive technologies (AR/VR/XR), projection mapping, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Tech Stack: Proficiency with BIM software (Revit, Navisworks), Project Management tools (Procore, Primavera P6), and Data Visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (developers, UX/UI designers, network engineers) in high-pressure environments.
  • Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated passion for data-driven decision-making.
  • Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical partners and executive leadership.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Salary for this role will be disclosed during the recruitment process.
