Role Overview

ENGIE Middle East is seeking a Digital Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position reports directly to the Digital Lead of MENA. The primary objective of this role is to design and implement software applications and digital tools aimed at improving and automating business processes, ultimately enhancing work productivity and process efficiency across the organization. Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Software Development and Lifecycle Management

• Understand business requirements and translate them into effective software application solutions.
• Develop software solutions, ensuring compatibility with Group applications, while collaborating closely with relevant business functions.
• Provide advice and guidance to Business Unit (BU) entities on software development projects.
• Evaluate existing applications and perform necessary updates to ensure operational continuity.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all applications.
• Follow the software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology to ensure the sustainability and maintainability of all developed applications.

SAP System Management and Support

• Maintain the SAP S4H system for KSA and GCC regions.
• Provide SAP support to KSA and GCC business users and promote the adoption of new SAP features to automate processes and boost productivity.
• Liaise with SAP support providers to escalate and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring affected users are kept informed throughout the process.

Application Compliance and Security

• Ensure all business applications comply with licensing requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses before deploying changes from development into the live environment.
• Adhere to ENGIE’s cybersecurity requirements during application development and implementation.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive, personal, or business-critical data.
• Perform regular updates and patches on software applications, accompanied by appropriate business impact analysis to ensure business continuity.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

This role involves significant collaboration and engagement with various internal and external stakeholders:

• Represent KSA and GCC in Group Data Hub initiatives, ensuring all solutions comply with Group data standards.
• Collaborate with KSA and GCC HQ business functions and BU Entities to implement and maintain various business systems.
• Work in partnership with the ENGIE Corporate applications team to represent KSA and GCC businesses during the implementation of Group applications.
• Engage with external third-party suppliers and service providers as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant digital engineering or software development role. This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
