The Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh, situated in the heart of the city, sets new standards for luxury. We are seeking a Director of Restaurant Bar & Experience to join our Food & Beverage Department in a full-time capacity at our Riyadh property.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Director of Restaurant Bar & Experience is responsible for overseeing all operational and administrative aspects of the Food & Beverage division. This includes managing Outside Caterings, budgeting, and continuously focusing on and enhancing quality standards. The role also encompasses comprehensive training and regular performance reviews of colleagues within the department.

Core Duties and Compliance

  • Understand and communicate all corporate and hotel policies and standard operating procedures to colleagues.
  • Ensure all business activities and decisions comply with general law, rules, regulations, and the MOHG Code of Conduct.
  • Fully understand and support all aspects of the Mandarin Oriental, Al Faisaliah Riyadh People & Culture Strategic Policy.
  • Support all learning and development activities, including On The Job trainers and trainings, and Group Training Technique trainers and trainings.
  • Update and maintain a complete Training Matrix for the division and departments.
  • Update and maintain Job Description and Job Specification Matrix for the division and departments.

Operational Oversight and Performance Management

  • Supervise the function of all F&B employees, facilities, and financial performance to ensure maximum departmental profit and cost efficiency.
  • Inspect operational front and back of house areas of the Food and Beverage Division on a daily basis.
  • Control and analyse, on an ongoing basis, to optimise:
    • Quality levels of products and service
    • Guest Satisfaction
    • Quality Measurements (such as LQE, LQA, Forbes Five Star, and MOQA)
    • Merchandising and Marketing
    • Financial Performance
    • Food Hygiene and cleanliness
    • Employee grooming

Required Experience

Candidates for this full-time role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in Food & Beverage management, preferably within a luxury hotel or resort environment.

Work Setting

This position is based at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh, located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic and service-oriented Food & Beverage department.
