About the Opportunity

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an EHS Supervisor to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role is critical for establishing, monitoring, appraising, and coordinating an integrated health, safety, and environment management system across construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure strict compliance with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 9001 standards, leveraging a strong background in the Oil and Gas sector.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare all EHS-related documents, including EHS plans, emergency response plans, and risk assessments.
• Attend all EHS meetings with clients and the project team.
• Report all EHS-related issues to the Head Office.
• Provide EHS induction training to new workers and conduct EHS training programs for engineers and workers on-site.
• Conduct daily EHS inspections for the assigned zone.
• Ensure appropriate safe work permits are obtained by Engineers/Supervisors from Clients/Main Contractors.
• Ensure toolbox talks are properly delivered by Engineers weekly to foster EHS awareness among workers.
• Maintain all documentation related to EHS activities.

EHS System Management and Auditing

• Conduct site-wide risk assessments, identifying and informing Site Engineers and Clients/Main Contractors of high-risk areas.
• Conduct Job EHS Analysis for high-risk activities to minimize hazardous conditions.
• Improvise procedure manuals and internal audits based on ISO standards.
• Perform hazard identification and risk assessment for critical activities, ensuring findings are incorporated into method statements.
• Prepare EHS Plans and Environmental Management Plans.
• Coordinate external EHS audits and third-party inspections of equipment.
• Prepare Emergency Preparedness Plans and conduct emergency drills.
• Facilitate the implementation of the Work Permit System.
• Prepare EHS conditions of contract for sub-contractors.
• Carry out project Risk Management Audits monthly and system audits quarterly.
• Provide EHS reports to the project head and IC Head on the current EHS performance status.

Site Safety and Worker Welfare

• Verify that all personnel wear required personal protective equipment, including helmets, EHS shoes, and coveralls.
• Ensure equipment such as ladders and scaffolding are in good working condition before use.
• Maintain satisfactory health and hygiene conditions for workers, including access to water, rest areas, adequate lighting, and ventilation.
• Ensure proper housekeeping on project sites to prevent incidents and accidents.
• Encourage workers and engineers to implement EHS practices.
• Conduct investigations with engineers for minor or major incidents/accidents and communicate results for future precautions.
• Administer first-aid and/or seek medical assistance in case of worker injury.
• Coordinate occupational health and welfare measures.
• Stop work immediately if unsafe practices are witnessed, promoting a "don't walk by" and commitment to action attitude.

Required Qualifications

• Must be an ARAMCO-approved EHS Supervisor.
• Possess a strong background in the Oil and Gas sector.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience.
