About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an EHS Supervisor for a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh. This role is designed for an ARAMCO-approved professional with 0-1 years of experience specifically within the Oil and Gas sector. The EHS Supervisor will be instrumental in establishing, monitoring, and maintaining robust environmental, health, and safety standards across construction projects.

Key Responsibilities: Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare all EHS-related documents, including EHS plans, emergency response plans, and risk assessments.
  • Attend all EHS meetings with clients and project teams.
  • Report all EHS-related issues to the Head Office.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to all EHS activities.
  • Prepare EHS Plan and Environment Management Plan.
  • Coordinate External EHS Audits and Third-Party Inspections of Equipment.
  • Prepare Conditions of Contract on EHS for Sub-contractors.
  • Provide EHS reports to the project head and IC Head to inform them of current EHS performance status.

EHS System Implementation and Compliance

  • Establish, monitor, appraise, and coordinate an upgraded integrated health, safety & environment management system, conforming to ISO-45001:2018, ISO14001:2015, and ISO 9001 standards for construction projects.
  • Improvise procedure manuals and internal audits based on the specified standards.
  • Ensure appropriate safe work permits are obtained by Engineers/Supervisors from Clients/Main Contractors.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the Work Permit System.
  • Ensure all personnel wear personal protective equipment, including helmets, EHS shoes, and coveralls.
  • Ensure equipment such as ladders and scaffoldings are in good working condition prior to use.
  • Ensure satisfactory health and hygiene conditions for workers, including the availability of water, rest areas, and adequate lighting & ventilation.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping on the project site to prevent incidents and accidents.
  • Stop work if any unsafe practices are witnessed and promote a "don't walk by" and commitment to action attitude at all times.

Risk Management, Training, and Incident Response

  • Conduct daily EHS inspections for assigned zones.
  • Conduct risk assessments throughout the site and inform Site Engineers and/or Clients/Main Contractor of high-risk areas.
  • Conduct Job EHS Analysis on high-risk activities to minimize hazardous conditions.
  • Provide EHS induction training to new workers.
  • Ensure toolbox talks are properly delivered by Engineers every week for workers to create EHS Awareness.
  • Conduct training programs on EHS topics for engineers & workers on site, as well as in HR-organized EHS training programs.
  • Perform hazard identification and risk assessment for critical activities, ensuring method statements incorporate the findings.
  • Prepare Emergency Preparedness Plan and conduct Emergency Drills.
  • Encourage workers and engineers to implement EHS practices.
  • Conduct investigations along with engineers in case of minor or major incidents/accidents.
  • Communicate investigation results to workers and engineers for future precautions.
  • Administer first-aid and/or seek medical assistance in case of worker injury.
  • Coordinate for Occupational Health & Welfare measures.
  • Carry out project Risk Management Audits on a monthly basis and system audits quarterly.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be an ARAMCO-approved EHS Supervisor.
  • Possess an Oil and Gas experience background.
  • Requires 0-1 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with Larsen & Toubro, located in Riyadh, Riyadh. The role primarily involves working on construction projects within the Oil and Gas sector, ensuring adherence to stringent EHS standards.
