About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer Aviation to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time position involves supporting the planning, design coordination, and delivery of electrical infrastructure for airport and airfield projects. The role focuses on ensuring electrical systems comply with aviation standards to support safe and reliable airport operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support electrical engineering activities for airport and airfield infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure proper design and installation of electrical systems.
  • Monitor electrical work progress and provide technical support during construction.
  • Review and coordinate various electrical systems, including Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL), Runway and Taxiway Lighting Systems, Approach Lighting Systems, Airfield Electrical Vaults, Power Distribution Systems (MV/LV), Backup Power Systems (Generators), UPS Systems, Substations and Transformers, Lighting Systems (terminal, landside, airside), Earthing and Lightning Protection, and electrical systems for navigational aids (coordination).
  • Review electrical design drawings, specifications, calculations, and shop drawings.
  • Ensure integration of electrical systems with civil, mechanical, and ICT systems.
  • Verify compliance with international airport design standards.
  • Monitor installation works to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Review contractor method statements and inspection test plans.
  • Participate in inspections and site audits.
  • Support testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Participate in energization and operational readiness activities.
  • Ensure proper documentation for project handover.
  • Coordinate with airport operators, aviation authorities, design consultants, and contractors.
  • Participate in technical meetings and project coordination workshops.

Compliance and Standards

The role requires ensuring all electrical systems comply with relevant international and local standards. This includes ICAO standards, FAA / EASA airfield lighting guidelines, IATA recommendations, IEC / IEEE electrical standards, and local authority regulations.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant electrical engineering role, preferably within the aviation sector.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, focusing on airport and airfield infrastructure projects.
