About the Role
The Food Industries Polytechnic (FIP) is seeking an Employability Skills & Terminology Trainer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience who are passionate about developing the next generation of industry talent. The Trainer will be responsible for delivering engaging training sessions focused on essential employability skills and industry-specific terminology, assessing learner needs, and providing comprehensive support to ensure trainees achieve their learning outcomes. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop curriculum, facilitate effective learning experiences, and measure impact through evaluation and reporting.
Key Training Responsibilities
- Deliver classes according to agreed schedules and prepare lesson plans aligned with existing outlines, module descriptions, TVET, and FIP best practices.
- Develop comprehensive schemes of work and detailed lesson plans.
- Manage trainee behavior and high-pressure classroom situations effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment through strong emotional intelligence.
- Promote professional behavior and a workplace-oriented mindset among trainees to enhance job readiness and employability skills.
- Utilize real-life industry scenarios, such as those from poultry or technical roles, to deliver practical and relatable employability skills.
- Demonstrate and apply a strong understanding of industry-specific terminology to meet the diverse needs of trainees across various specializations.
- Take active responsibility for the personal and social development of students, including extra-curricular activities and tutorial provision.
- Prepare and grade student tests and exams in coordination with superiors or colleagues, adhering to set standards.
- Provide regular performance reports on learner progress.
- Manage all program administration, including registers and student tracking.
- Coach trainees to improve their performance and attitude.
- Assess the effectiveness of various training approaches and methods.
Curriculum and Reporting Duties
- Document course materials and lecture plans in the shared drive and FIP Learning Management System (LMS) in specified formats.
- Produce relevant training manuals and aids as required, and maintain all associated training records.
- Conduct analysis and submit regular reports of training activities to FIP on a monthly or weekly basis.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and adhere to feedback from teaching and learning observations.
Departmental Collaboration and Support
- Participate in the ongoing growth and development of the specialist department.
- Support the operational objectives of the department and cooperate with other departments as required.
- Provide mentoring, supervision, professional support, counseling, and guidance for other teachers.
- Contribute to the leadership of department development planning and the identification of priorities.
- Assist the Department Leader with identifying ongoing training needs and planning effective implementation.
- Support the Department Leader in preparing and implementing FIP and TVTC’s Strategic Objectives.
- Participate in college promotional and engagement activities, including open days, parent’s days, and staff development.
- Carry out routine and ad-hoc administrative tasks as directed.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 0-1 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated strong emotional intelligence.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific terminology.
- Ability to apply industry terminology effectively to diverse trainee specializations.
Work Environment and Expectations
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be expected to act in accordance with polytechnic policies and demonstrate a willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the organization's needs.
