The Role of Financial Reporting Manager

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Financial Reporting, Manager to join its Finance Team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves supporting offices across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The successful applicant will report to the Finance Manager and collaborate with the wider finance team, external advisors, auditors, and the Middle East Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete monthly close processes to global deadlines, including the preparation and posting of month-end journals.
• Review monthly reconciliation files for Revenue, Balance Sheet, and Payroll, supporting the timely resolution of differences.
• Conduct monthly review and reconciliation of local GAAP and management accounts, understanding differences and making appropriate adjustments.
• Review quarterly Intercompany Reconciliations and Invoicing, ensuring timely settlement of Intercompany Balances with the A&M Treasury Team.
• Liaise with external advisors, including auditors and local accountants, and lead local country audits to ensure timely completion and submission of Financial Statements.
• Support the A&M Tax Team in the timely submission of Corporation Tax and Transfer Pricing Returns.
• Provide review support for VAT and other fiscal returns, ensuring correct and timely reporting to local authorities and accurate accounting in GAAP books.
• Support and lead e-invoicing compliance and implementation across the Middle East region.
• Assist the team with the integration of a new ERP system, including testing and data review, and evaluate existing workflows to leverage new ERP functionality.
• Ensure a robust control environment is operated and maintained.
• Understand and manage the compliance requirements of locally regulated entities across the Middle East, including Local Content (KSA) and In-Country Value (ICV) compliance.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory developments across the Middle East that may impact the organization.
• Provide assistance with ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting or accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes and reconciliations.
• Experience with local GAAP and management accounts.
• Proficiency in working with external advisors and auditors.
• Understanding of compliance requirements for regulated entities.

Team and Work Environment

The EMEA Finance function at A&M is a fast-growing team covering Billing, Accounts Payable, Financial Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Payroll, and Risk. This role is part of the established Financial Accounting Team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which supports offices across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The team collaborates closely with Local External Accountants and is responsible for all financial accounting and reporting for the EMEA business.
